Job Purpose: To deliver an operation and maintenance function to existing and new sites (primarily Hydroelectric schemes). This role will require extensive experience of electrical and mechanical crafts and will involve fault diagnosis and correction of complex systems.

Pay Band and Scale:
Engineering / Project Management Job Family Level 3 - £32,444.44 to £38,933.32 per annum depending on experience.
Job Purpose: To deliver an operation and maintenance function to existing and new sites (primarily Hydroelectric schemes). This role will require extensive experience of electrical and mechanical crafts and will involve fault diagnosis and correction of complex systems.
Key Accountabilities:
Line management & Departmental Administration:
Active participation in team, department & company meetings as appropriate.
Enter timesheet & Expense data.
Project and Contract Management:
Undertaking O&M inspection visits.
Undertake onsite and remote fault analysis and rectification of hydro schemes. On call support for Hydro schemes out of hours on a rota basis as necessary.
Supervision, training and supporting caretakers and sub-contractors in trouble shooting and routine maintenance activities.
Support and assist with O&M management of sites. Undertake completion of any necessary paperwork, reporting and database upkeep as required. Routinely undertake monitoring of sites via SCADA systems. Prepare O&M design and/or specifications.
Write service schedules/RAMS.
Organise site specific logistics as required.
Ensue ordering of components to meet service schedules.
Site supervision of small build/refurbishment work.

Monitor costs and expenditure with regards to work area, reporting variations.
HSQE:
Ensure compliance with Dulas Ltd ISO/quality policy and procedures. Comply fully with document management systems of the department.

Proactive identification of potential improvements/future work.
Prepare method statements and risk assessments (RAMS).
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria
Skills, experience& qualifications
Extensive experience of electrical and mechanical plant maintenance to include fault diagnosis.
Qualification in relevant science or engineering discipline or extensive practical experience, or accredited apprenticeship.
Team working Experience of working in a multi-functional team.
Communication –
written & verbal
Good written and verbal communication.
Management –
including selfmotivation & time management
Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple jobs.
Ability to provide good customer service understanding clients
requirements, both technically and financially.
IT & Other Good general IT skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel and spend time away from home as necessary.
Able to work flexibly/ outside of office hours when necessary.
Desirable Criteria
Skills, experience & qualifications
Electrical and/or mechanical engineering qualification.
Experience of electrical control and instrumentation.
Knowledge of power generation (on and off grid)
Knowledge/experience of hydro/renewable technology O&M.
Knowledge or experience of O&M of electro-mechanical plant to
include fault finding skills.
Construction site experience.
Experience of preparation of health and safety method statements and risk assessments.
Management – including selfmotivation & time management
Experience of managing time, cost and quality in engineering projects within set budgets.
IT & Other Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems.
Knowledge of CAD software.
