Role Purpose
Assist in the delivery of NRW renewable energy and commercial priorities on the NRW Managed Estate. Provide advice and guidance on related civil engineering matters to ensure compliance with NRW specifications, legal agreements and construction industry health and safety regulations. Monitor developer led projects on NRW land. Design (with supervision/guidance) forest operations and inspect assets in the project schemes. Supervise and contract manage NRW framework contractor resources to build and maintain NRW assets.
Qualifications and Skills
- Have a minimum level qualification of Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Site Management or aim to achieve this qualification within 5 years of taking up post (Essential).
- Experience in large scale civil engineering and infrastructure ground works operations and contract management and project planning (Essential).
- Knowledge and understanding of CDM 2015 and construction Health, Safety & Environmental risk management (Essential).
- Knowledge of CAD packages such as AutoCAD and GIS such as ArcView and asset management systems (AMX) (Essential).
- Knowledge of Forest and Water Guidelines (V5) and the European Water Framework Directive (Essential).
