We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Wind Energy Yield Analyst to lead energy assessment activities across our onshore and/or offshore wind portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering bank‑grade energy yield estimates, driving methodological improvement, and providing strategic technical input throughout the project lifecycle—from early-stage prospecting through financial close and operational optimisation.
You will act as a subject‑matter expert, collaborating closely with development, engineering, commercial, and finance teams to ensure robust and defensible yield assumptions that underpin our investment and development decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Energy Yield & Resource Assessment
Lead the development of long-term energy yield assessments (P50/P90/P99) for onshore and offshore wind projects.
Support the design and optimisation of measurement campaigns.
Project Development Support
Provide technical input into site selection, turbine micro‑siting, layout optimisation, and design constraints.
Produce high‑quality reporting for due diligence, investment committees, lenders, and external partners.
Evaluate turbine technologies, power curves, and OEM data to ensure accurate modelling assumptions.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to capability building within the team.
Ensure methodological consistency and lead the continuous improvement of internal tools, workflows, and modelling practices.
Represent the company in technical discussions with developers, OEMs, consultants, financiers, and external stakeholders.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with development, engineering, environmental, and commercial teams to align yield assumptions with broader project strategy.
Provide ongoing assessment of risks and opportunities that influence project economics.
This role will present you with a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical and project management skills through your project work, with great prospects for career progression as the team continues to grow.
And let's not forget about the perks at AECOM. You'll enjoy a range of core and personalised benefits designed to support your future and well-being, customized to fit your lifestyle.
